According to OASIS (Organisation for Advancement of Structured Information Standards), the cloud computing reference model is an abstract model which consists of functions of a cloud computing environment and categorises it into two types of layers. Abstraction and Cross-Function Layers. They are divided into five logical layers and three cross-layer functions.
The logical layers include:
- Physical Layer
- Virtual Layer
- Control Layer
- Service Orchestration Layer
- Service Layer
The Cross-Layer Functions include:
- Business Continuity
- Security
- Service Management
